Ein Gedicht: „Let me drown you“

So here we are,
but we never were.
Addiction is not just a fiction
if it’s real.
But did you ever feel?
That almost everything is coming
out of nothing.
And nothing could be everything,
if you imagine dreams could be real?

So let me drown you.
Just let me drown you in the past.
Because fire isn’t burning,
if there is no flame
and bridges were not built
by staying the same.

So here I am,
but you never were.
Heartbreak is not just a feeling
if it’s real.
But did you ever feel?
That no hero was ever born
out of fear.
And fear is more than a thing to see,
if all the hope is no longer here.

So let me drown you.
Just let me drown you in the past.
Because fire isn’t burning,
if there is no flame
and bridges were not built
by staying the same.

So here you are,
but I never was.
Home is not just a place
because eyes are real.
But did you ever feel?
That nothing happens at all,
because the life we are in,
is way too tall.
